Nizhny Novgorod International Airport (“Airports of Regions” holding company) has been authorized to receive the Boeing 767-200 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft and their modifications. The corresponding order was signed the day before by the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya). As of today, the Boeing 767-200 and Boeing 767-300 are the heaviest types of foreign aircraft Nizhny Novgorod airport is allowed to take.
The authorization to receive the Boeing 767-200/300 significantly expands the opportunities for airlines, who can now organize a network of flights from Nizhniy Novgorod for the long-haul wide-body aircraft which is obviously more profitable for carriers from a commercial point of view. Passengers will also benefit because these types of aircraft are in the fleet of large and reputable airlines.
Nizhny Novgorod International Airport is approved to receive more than 50 types of Russian and foreign aircraft, as well as all types of helicopters and common types of business aircraft.
