New carrier - Azimuth Airline to start operations in Strigino

The Strigino International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) is expanding the regional route network. The Azimuth Airline unveiled the first direct scheduled flight en route Nizhniy Novgorod - Rostov-on-Don on May 1. The flight will be made 3 times a week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday). Departure from Nizhniy Novgorod is at 11:30 am Moscow Time and from Rostov-on-Don at 08:20 am Moscow time. Flights are made on Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes, designed with 103 seats.

The Azimuth Airline has given a start to cooperation with the Strigino International Airport by this flight. The first airplane of the airline was welcomed with a ceremonial ‘water arch’ and promotional gifts were given to the first passenger that departed from the Nizhniy Novgorod airport to Rostov-on-Don.

It is not accidental that Rostov-on-Don was chosen as a destination. This is the largest business and cultural center of Southern Russia, with dynamically developing travel industry. Travels to Rostov-on-Don will definitely enjoy demand among residents of Nizhniy Novgorod.

The Azimuth Airline - the air carrier of Southern Russia, having Platov (Rostov-on-Don) as its home airport, is also affiliated with the Airports of Regions holding. The fleet of the AZIMUTH Airline consists of Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes of improved modification SSJ100-95LR (Long Range), with the extended flight range. Aircraft were supplied within the framework of a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company.
