Strigino Airport recognized as the fastest growing airport in Russia

Strigino International Airport (a part of the holding Airports of Regions) received a title of “the fastest growing airport in Russia”. This Victory in the appropriate category the Strigino Airport  claimed at the IV. International forum of the Adam Smith Institute „Development of airports in Russia and the CIS“, held on  17-19 March, 2014. Award was established by the Adam Smith Institute together with the leading aviation scientific and industrial Portal AviaPORT in 2013.  

 

The experts of Avia Industry responded by the conference organizers have highly praised the efforts of the management of Strigino Airport to create attractive conditions for the opening of new routs and increase of frequency on existing routs. The work related to the improving the quality of aircraft operating has been also taken into consideration of experts.  The final evaluation took   in account also extremely high potentials of passenger traffic growth of the Airport in the next 10 years.  
 

Strigino International Airport is one of the most dynamically developing Airports in Russia, it demonstrates  steady rate of growth on key indicators.  Since the management company „Airports of Regions“ arrived, the passenger traffic of Strigino has increased  2,4-fold, with  376  673 persons in 2010 to 917 424 persons by the end of 2013, which proves the title of “the fastest growing airport in Russia”.  Early in this year the passenger traffic continued to show a rapid rate of growth.
