The flight program fr om Nizhny Novgorod during this period will include both regular and charter flights within Russia and abroad. Flights to 32 destinations, 19 of them being inland, bypassing Moscow, are planned by 13 airlines. Nordwind together with Pegas Fly will continue the flight program to Kaliningrad and Murmansk; Azimuth will keep the flights to Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Saratov, and Perm on its winter timetable; Red Wings will fly to Yekaterinburg; UVT Aero – to Astrakhan and Kazan; Siberia (S7 Airlines) – to Novosibirsk; IrAero – to Novy Urengoy and Samara. New regional destinations will be added to the winter schedule: Nordwind will start operating regular flights to Makhachkala in November, and together with Pegas Fly it plans to launch flights to Ufa, Perm and Tyumen.
A regular flight program to Russian resorts and cities in southern Russia will continue in winter. Up to five weekly flights to Sochi are planned by two airlines: Pegas Fly and Nordwind; Azimuth and Pegas Fly have scheduled flights to Mineralnye Vody (up to 4 times a week) and Krasnodar (up to 5 times a week).
In Nizhny Novgorod airport’s winter schedule flights to Moscow are planned by five airlines: “Aeroflot, Siberia (S7 Airlines), Ural Airlines, Rossiya and Nordwind – up to 9 daily flights to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports. Rossiya Airlines and Pegas Fly will fly from Nizhny Novgorod to St. Petersburg up to 4 times a day.
Flights to international destinations from the airport have also been agreed upon: Antalya, Baku, Dubai, Dushanbe, Yerevan, Kulyab, Osh, Istanbul, Ferghana, Khujand, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. The actual performance of flights to international destinations will depend, among other things, on the epidemiological situation and relevant decisions by the Russian Government.
Traditionally, the transition to the autumn-winter and spring-summer timetable in aviation takes place on the last Sunday of October and the last Sunday of March, respectively. The schedule is tentative and is subject to change throughout the season.
Measures to counter the spread of coronavirus infection are being implemented at the airport in accordance with the recommendations of federal and regional authorities. During a stay in the passenger terminal, it is necessary to:
- wear protective face masks;
- use disinfectants on hands;
- keep a social distance of at least 1.5-2 m;
- minimize the number of accompanying persons and lim it the stay at the airport to two hours.
