Nizhniy Novgorod Airport Starts Servicing 2018 FIFA World Cup Fans

The Strigino International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) starts servicing national teams and their support groups arriving at Nizhniy Novgorod for FIFA World Cup matches. The airport will engage its infrastructure in full during the World Cup period: Terminal 1 (new terminal) and Terminal 2 (historical building of the airport). The Terminal 2 was completely upgraded and outfitted with extra passport control booths.
The Nizhniy Novgorod airport is included into the shuttle traffic plan intended for carriage of fans (in service from June 14 to July 15, 2018):
•  S6 – Airport – Park Kultury (Culture Park) underground station;
Free shuttles departing to/from the city have a stop on the Terminal 1 landside.
Volunteers (over 80 individuals involved in total) that are distinguished by blue and red brand T-shirts will work 24 hours a day in the airport to help guests of Nizhniy Novgorod during the World Cup. Functionality of volunteers working in the Strigino Airport comprises regulation of passenger traffic on the landside, in Terminals 1 and 2.
