The summer flight schedule comes into force at Nizhny Novgorod Airport

The Nizhny Novgorod Airport Strigino (a part of the holding Airports of Regions) moved to the spring-summer schedule valid until the end of October 2014.  Sixteen Air companies will perform regular flights from Strigino to 27 cities of Russia and abroad*.  There will appear completely new charter destinations (Corfu, Palma de Mallorca, Lamezia Terme) as well as some before terminated flights will be resumed (Baku, Rimini, Thessaloniki).


Moscow

Now there are 10 flights to Moscow from   6.05 a.m. till  9.40 p.m.! To come back from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod is possible from 07.00 a.m. till  11.50 p.m. There are five air companies operating on this destination: Aeroflot,   S7 Airlines, UTair Express, Akbars Aero, Ural Airlines.

Simpheropol

The good news for vacationers is the introduction of regular flights to Simpheropol in the summer schedule. Flights on Sundays will be performed from June 1 to September 21, 2014 by Ural Airlines, the aircraft type – Airbus-320, travel time is 2 hours 30 minutes. Tickets are now available.   

The Regional Program

A novelty of the summer season will be opening of the second flight to Ufa.  Since May 16 in addition to the flights performed by the air company Dexter (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) the flights of Orenburg Airlines with a stopover in Samara will appear. Aircrafts L410 will perform flights four times a week:  on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  

 

The flights to Belgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Norilsk, Penza, Surgut and Syktyvkar will remain in the summer schedule,  no significant changes will occur.   

Near abroad

Since May 21 the Air Company „Azerbaijan Airlines“  resumes the performing of the flight program to Baku from Strigino.   Аirbus-319 will fly to the capital of Azerbaijan twice a week: on Wednesdays and Saturdays,  travel time is   2 hours 50 minutes.

 

The operating of regular flights to Khudjand (departures on Saturdays by Ural Airlines), Tashkent(on Mondays, Ural Airlines), Namangan (on Sundays, Ural Airlines), Erevan (on Tuesdays, Ural Airlines; on Wednesdays, Air Armenia),Dushanbe (on Mondays, Ural Airlines) will remain.

 

Europe from Nizhny Novgorod

Coming summer will offer to Nizhny Novgorod’s citizens a very extensive flight map from the Strigino Airport to Europe.  Traditional destinations such as  Frankfurt-am-Main, Prague, regular and charter flights to Bulgaria, Montenegro and Cyprus will be  supplemented by three completely new directions:

- Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Since May 28,  every  10 days, the Boeings of the Air Company “Nord wind” will fly on charter basis.   

- Lamezia Terme, Italy. Since June 1 the Nord Wind Airlines will carry tourists to Lamezia Terme (and also to Rimini) on the charter basis. Frequency of flights – once for ten days by  Boing  737-800.

- Corfu, Greece. Once for ten days by Orenburg Airlines.  Moreover, it will be possible to fly from Nizhny Novgorod to Salonika, to the islands Rhodes and Crete.  

As part of the charter program the operating of flights to Turkey will begin (Antalya, Dalaman), Tunis (Monastir, Djerba), the flights to Egypt (Sharm el Sheikh, Hurgada) will remain.
