Strigino Switches to Winter Timetable

Strigino international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) is switching to the winter timetable on the night of 24th to 25th of October, when airlines and airports start working in accordance with the new timetable: the time and frequency of flights change and new routes are added.
The flight programme from Nizhny is mainly represented by domestic routes. Overall 11 airlines plan inland flights to 17 destinations.
Flights abroad have also been agreed and added to Strigino airport’s timetable: Yerevan, Dubai, Sanya, Nha Trang and Pkhuket. The actual operation of flights will depend on the epidemiological situation and respective decrees by the Russian government.
Air flights to Kaliningrad and Ufa also resume from Nizhny. Biweekly flights to Kaliningrad will be performed by NordWind Airlines Mondays and Fridays while biweekly flights to Ufa will be operated by UTair Airlines, also Mondays and Fridays.
Moscow remains the most popular destination: flights to the capital city will be performed by Aeroflot and Siberia. Up to 7 daily flights to Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo have been scheduled.
Three airlines – RusLine, IrAero and NordWind (in a joint venture with Pegas Fly) – plan flights to Saint-Petersburg; three weekly flights have been scheduled.
Regular flights to health resort destinations of South Russia will continue in the new season as well. Thus three airlines – Rossiya, IrAero and NordWind – plan up to 6 flights to the city of Sochi. NordWind will perform biweekly flights to Simferopol, whereas IrAero will fly thrice a week to Mineralnye Vody.
Azimuth Airlines will continue its flights to Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don. The same carrier will keep on flying to Saratov and Perm.
In addition, the programme of regional flights from Nizhny will be backed by several carriers, with RedWings to perform four weekly flights to Yekaterinburg, UVT AERO – four weekly flights to Kazan plus one weekly flight to Chelyabinsk; Siberia – biweekly flights to Novosibirsk; IrAero – one weekly flight to Novy Urengoy and biweekly flights to Samara.
This is a preliminary timetable that may change during the season. It should be noted that unlike the calendar seasons, in civil aviation “Winter” comes on the last Sunday of October and lasts till the last Saturday of March when airports and airlines switch to summer season operations.
