The total passenger flow at Nizhny Novgorod International Airport year-to-date amounted to 1,065,454 people showing a 25.5% gain compared to the year-ago period. Domestic air travel rose 29.2% (547,752 passengers), and international traffic level was up by 21.9% (517,702 passengers). Airport saw 8721 aircraft departures recording a 14.2 % year over year increase. Freight and mail traffic climbed 11.2 % (899.4 tons).
Since the beginning of 2014, 38 airlines serviced 63 scheduled destinations, out of them 29 were domestic and 9 international. Traditional leaders in the passenger traffic were Moscow, Antalya, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and St. Petersburg.
