The Strigino International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) serviced 48.9 thousand passengers from April 27 to May 12, which is 13.4% above the like period in the last year. 30.5 thousand people took advantage of domestic flights and 18.4 thousand used international flights.

The passenger traffic on international routes surged by 20.3%, compared to the like period of 2018. The majority of tourists departing abroad during May Holidays flew to Antalya (14.3 thousand, +20.8%). Tourist routes remain traditionally popular: 1.5 thousand passengers were serviced on flights to Larnaca. Popularity of Dalaman (1.2 thousand) and Dubai (1 thousand) destinations deserves to be mentioned.

Domestic flights from Nizhniy Novgorod showed growth by 9.6% year-on-year. Moscow remains the most popular; 21.9 thousand passengers took advantage of the air service with the capital. Sochi ranks second in terms of passenger traffic. 2.1 thousand people took flights to Sochi. About a thousand tourists departed to Rostov-on-Don during May Holidays. The city is third among the leaders. Other domestic destinations also enjoyed the demand: Krasnodar and St. Petersburg.
