In July 2014, Nizhny Novgorod International Airport (belongs to Airports of Regions Group) welcomed 130,306 passengers, a 29.8% increase over last year. A passenger flow of 59,800 people was recorded on domestic flights (+ 41.1% compared to July 2013) and of 70,506 people - on international flights (+ 21.6%).
In July resort destinations were traditionally in high demand. Top 5 tourist routes by the number of passengers were as follows: Antalya, Hurghada, Larnaca, Barcelona and Sharm el-Sheikh.
The most punctual airline in July was Azerbaijan Airlines: 100% of the carrier's flights were performed without delay. Other carriers in the past month, despite the increased workload of the peak season also demonstrated strict adherence to the schedule: UTair-Express carried out 99% of its flights on time, Ak Bars Aero - 96%, Orenburzhye - 94%, Utair - 95%, Abakan-Avia, Aeroflot, Ural Airlines, Kogalim-Avia - more than 90%.
From January to July 2014 passenger traffic at Strigino Airport totaled 645,619 people (+ 29.5% year-on-year). Out of them 335,498 passengers were served in the domestic sector (+34.4%), and 310,121 passengers – in the international sector (+24.5%). Number of sorties reached 5,356 operations (+ 18.1%), cargo and mail amounted to 605 tons (+5.1%).
