Strigino airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has reviewed the results of the summer season.  From June to August the air hub served more than 190,000 travelers on the routes directly connecting Nizhny Novgorod with domestic and overseas holiday resorts. Quite predictably, Antalya was the most popular overseas destination, with 103,000 tourists served on this route, up 4% year-on-year. Dalaman and Larnaka that received 15,000 and 10,000 passengers, respectively, rank second and third.
Overall from June to August airlines performed more than a thousand takeoff and landing operations, heading for holiday destinations both ways. In Russia Simferopol and Sochi take the lead in terms of traffic intensity, with 16 and 23 thou travelers using each of these cities, accordingly. Furthermore, people of Nizhny Novgorod region could take a direct flight from Strigino to Anapa, Enfidha, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Monastir and Barcelona.
